Getting Around Piran and the Coast by Bus
Piran and the Slovenian coast are well-connected by the Arriva regional bus network, which makes it easy to travel between Piran, Portorož, Koper, and other nearby towns. You can purchase bus tickets directly from the bus driver when boarding, or at ticket offices and tourist information centers in larger towns like Portorož and Koper. Some newsstands also sell tickets. A single fare between Piran and Portorož costs approximately €1.50. Tickets are valid for one ride only, with no transfers. Buses run frequently during the day, especially between Piran, Portorož, and Koper. Tip: Since Piran's town center is car-free, most buses stop at the Piran Bus Station, just a few minutes' walk from Tartini Square and the apartment.
